CLAT 2019 admit card : The admit cards of the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2019 will be released today, May 13. Once the CLAT 2019 admit cards will be out, all the candidates can download the same from the official website, clatconsortiumofnlu.ac.in . As per the schedule, the CLAT 2019 will be held on May 26 from 3 pm to 5 pm at various test centres across the nation.

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is an all India entrance examination conducted on rotation by 18 National Law Universities (NLUs) for admissions to their under-graduate and post-graduate degree programmes (LL.B & LL.M). The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), is an all India common entrance test is conducted to provide a list of candidates on the basis of ‘merit-cum-preference’ to each University for admission to their Under-Graduate (UG)/ Post-Graduate (PG) programmes, as per the eligibility, reservation and other criteria laid down under the respective statutes of the participating Universities.
The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is an all India entrance examination conducted on rotation by 16 National Law Universities (NLUs) for admissions to their under-graduate and post-graduate degree programmes (LL.B & LL.M). National Law University Odisha, Cuttack (NLUO) will conduct Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) for the admission year 2019-2020. The CLAT 2019 is expected to be held on May 12, 2019 (Sunday). NLU Odisha, the conducting National Law University (NLU) for CLAT 2019 will be conducting the national-level law entrance exam for admissions to undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes on offer at the CLAT participating NLUs.
This year, the CLAT will be conducted for admissions to as many as 20 NLUs with addition of Dharmashastra National Law University, Jabalpur (MPDNLU). NLUO Cuttack will release an admission notification for the Common Law Admission Test in the month of December 2018. Further, the law aspirants will be able to fill the CLAT 2019 application form between January 1 and March 31, 2019.
The CLAT 2019 will be held in online mode tentatively in over 65 examination centres across India. Candidates may note that the CLAT 2019 scores obtained by the test takers will be valid for admissions into the 20 NLUs participating in CLAT along with the other over 25 private law schools.
The scores of CLAT 2019 will be the basis for admissions into these law schools offering various UG and PG programmes including BA LLB, BCom LLB, BSc LLB and LLM programmes. English including comprehension: 40 Marks
General Knowledge and Current Affairs: 50 Marks
Elementary Mathematics (Numerical Ability): 20 Marks
Legal Aptitude: 50 MarksLogical Reasoning: 40 Marks
Negative Marking: 0.25 Mark for each wrong answer
CLAT 2019: Exam syllabus
English: English comprehension, grammar, synonyms, antonyms, sentence correction, meaning of words, fill in the blanks
Legal Aptitude: Constitutional law, jurisprudence and other law subjects such as contract, torts, criminal law, international law, IPR etc
Mathematics: Basic arithmetic, algebra, trigonometry, sets, mensuration. (The syllabus will be on the basis of Class 10 standard).
General Knowledge and Current Affairs: Indian Constitution, national current affairs, Indian geography and International current affairs
CLAT 2109 : Admission process
The admission to UG and PG programmes in participating universities under CLAT 2019 shall be completed through centralised online counselling conducted by the CLAT Consortium Office.
The basis of allotment of seats shall be merit-cum-preference i.e. the CLAT Rank, the order of preference given by the candidate in the CLAT application form and the category (s) selected by the candidate in the online application form and the number of seats and their division/break-up as available in each of the participating NLU. Online counselling shall start after the declaration of CLAT 2019 results.
In 2018, the CLAT examination was held on May 13 and a total of 54, 450 candidates took the test.
