CGPSC State Service Exam 2019

Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) has released State Service exam notification on 24 December 2019. The preliminary exam for selection to various posts under the state civil service, police service, accounts service, etc. will be held on February 9, 2020. For appointment to the posts/ services the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC), the official exam conducting body, will select candidates through preliminary exam and main exam.

Candidates can fill and submit the application forms, online at the website of the CGPSC, from December 6 to January 4.

Graduates, between 21-30 years of age are eligible to take the exam. Details regarding the age relaxation rules can be found from the official notification link.

total of 199 vacancies have been notified by the Commission under various services.

Candidates who qualify the preliminary exam will be eligible to take the main exam which would comprise a written exam and interview. Candidates 15 times the total number of posts under various categories will be shortlisted for the main exam. The preliminary exam will be a screening test for selecting candidates for the main exam. The marks obtained in the preliminary exam will not be counted while deciding the final merit list.

The main exam for selection to Chhattisgarh State Services will be held on June 17, 18, 19 and 20.

In JAN, 2019 CGPSC State Service Final Result has been released by the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission. Chhattisgarh PSC has conducted the interview round from 20 December 2018 to 22 January 2019. As per the official notice, a total of 879 candidates cleared the interview round. The CGPSC State Service Mains Exam 2017 was held on 22, 23, 24 and 25 June 2018 and 880 candidates had been called for the CGPSC Interview 2018-19. Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission had issued the recruitment notification to fill up 299 vacant post of Dy. Superintendent of Police, District Excise Officer, Transport Sub Inspector, Excise Sub Inspector and Assistant Jailor on 29 November 2017.

Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) has released the result of Chhattisgarh State Service Prelims Exam 2018. A total of 4189 candidates qualified in Chhattisgarh State Service Prelims Exam. Selected candidates will now have to appear for CGPSC State Service Main Exam 2018. 

CGPSC State Service 2018 Main Examination will be held on 23, 24, 25 and 26 July 2019.

CGPSC State Service Exam 2018 Notification has been released by the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) on October 1, 2018. The CGPSC State Services Preliminary Examination is held on 17th February 2019 and the Main Examination had organized from 21st to 24th June 2019. There are a total of 160 vacancies to be filled in various departments via CGPSC State Service Examination 2018.

CGPSC Examination Pattern

The combined competitive examination comprises following successive stages:

The Chhattisgarh State civil Services Preliminary Examination for selection of candidates for Main Examination. State Services Main Examination (written Examination and Interview) for final selection of candidates for the various categories of services and post.

1. Preliminary Examination – (Objective Type)

In the Preliminary Examinations there will be 2 compulsory papers of 02 hours duration each. Both the question papers willhave objective type multiple choice questions. There will be five choices of answers for each question out of which one is to be selected.There will be negative marking for wrong answer.

First Question Paper: General Studies (Question 100, Marks 200, Duration 2.00 Hours).02 marks will be awarded for each right answer and 01 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.Marks obtained=2R-W (where R stands for number of right answers and W stands for number of wrong answers.).

Second Question Paper: Aptitude Test (Question 100, Marks 200, Duration 2.00 Hours) 02 marks will be awarded for each right answer and 01 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.Marks obtained=2R-W (where R stands for number of right answers and W stands for number of wrong answers.).

Minimum Qualifying Marks: In each Question paper essential qualifying marks for unreserved category will be 33%,and 23% for reserved categories and handicapped candidates.Candidates will be short listed for main examination on the basis of merit.

Question Paper 2

Aptitude Test (Questions 100, Marks 200), Time: 2 hours.

Two marks will be awarded for each right answer and 01 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. Marks obtained = 2R - W (where R stands for number of right answers and W stands for number of wrong answers.)

Syllabus includes:

Interpersonal skills including communication skills;Logical reasoning and analytical ability Decision making and problem solving General mental ability Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude etc.) (Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. -Class X level) Knowledge of Hindi Language (Class X level). Knowledge of Chhattisgarhi Language. Knowledge of Hindi Language and Chhattisgarhi Language will be tested in Hindi and Chhattisgarhi Language only, without providing translation.

CGPSC Mains Exam Pattern

Question papers for Main Examination will be of Conventional nature i.e.: Short/Medium/Long answers Type

Candldates short listed for the Main Examination on the basis of Preliminary Examination (Screening Test) must appear for all the seven papers in Main Examination. Candidates selected for the Interview on the basis of Main Examination
must appear in the Interview. Absence in any paper of Main Examination and Interview will be liable for disqualification.

AII the question papers except first -"Language" may be answered in Hindi or English chosen by the candidates. However a candidate will not be permitted to write part of the paper in Hindi and part of it irr English

Paper II - Essay : There will be two sections in this paper. l. International and National level Issues 2.

Chhattisgarh State Issues.The Candidates will be given four options in each section and will have to write on two options from each section, the problem- solution (reason, present status including data and solution)

Paper 03 to 07 will contain the question as given below:-

Section 01- In this section there will be 22 compulsory questions from various parts of the syllabus of the paper concerned. Each question will carry 02 marks. Thus the maximum marks in this section will be 44. (Word limit for answer of each question - about 30)

Section 02- In this section there will be 13 compulsory questions from various parts of the syllabus of the paper concerned. Each question will carry 04 marks. Thus the maximum marks in this section will be 52. (Word limit for answer of each question - about 60)

Section 03- In this section there will be 0B compulsory questions from various parts of the syllabus of the paper concerned. Each question will carry 08 marks. Thus the maximum marks in this section will be 64. (Word limit for answer of each question - about 100)

Section 04- In this section total 02 questions will be given from part- 0z of the syllabus of the paper concerned. Out of which 01 question will have to be solved. The question will carry 10 marks. Thus the maximum marks in this section will be 10. (Word limit for answer of each question - about 125)

In this section there will be respectively 02-02 questions from part-01 & part- 03 of syllabus of concern question paper, Out of which candidate have to attempt respectively 01-01 question partwise. Each question will carry 15 marks. Thus the maximum marks for this section witl be 30. (word limit for answer ofthe question - about 175)

Knowledge of Hindi Language (Class X level).Knowledge of Chhattisgarhi Language. Knowledge of Hindi Language and Chhattisgarhi Language will be tested in Hindi and Chhattisgarhi Language only, without providing translation.

Section 04:- In this section total 03 questions will be given from various parts of the syllabus of the paper concerned. Out of which 02 questions will have to be solved. Each question will carry 20 marks. Thus the maximum marks in this section will be 40. (Word limit for answer of each question – about 250).

Section 05:- In this section total 02 questions will be given from various parts of the syllabus of paper concerned. Out of which 01 question will have to be solved. This question will carry 40 marks. Thus the maximum marks in this section will be 40. (Word limit for answer of the question – about 500).

Interview/ Personality Test will be carry 150 marks.
