The Commission will conduct an open competitive computer based examination for recruitment to the post in June-July and October 2017. While Paper 1 will be held from 30 June till 7 July 2017, the second paper will be held on 8 October 2017.

The Staff Selection Commission will hold an examination for recruitment of Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police & Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and Assistant Sub Inspector in CISF at different location across the country. SSC SI 2017 recruitment shall be done on the basis of Written Examination, PET, PST and Medical Test. Only those candidates, who qualify paper-1 exam, will be eligible to appear for PET, PST and Medical Test and then who clear the PET, PST and Medical Test will be allowed to appear in Paper-2 exam.
Candidates must be aware of the minimum eligibility conditions in order to apply and appear in the examination. SSC SI CAPF eligibility conditions are set by the commission. In case, candidate does not fulfil any of the eligibility criteria, commission will reject the candidate’s application so it is very important to know the SI CAPF eligibility criteria 2017.
Following article gives full information regarding the educational qualifications, age limit, nationality, physical standard test, physical endurance test and medical test.
Age : In order to be eligible candidates must be in the age group of 20-25 years. In addition to this applicant must be a graduate (as on 1 January 2017) as well. For SI (Delhi Police) post, male candidates must possess and also carry a valid Driving License for LMV (Motor cycle and Car) as on the date fixed for Physical Endurance and Standard Tests.
All candidates who are declared qualified by the Commission will be required to produce all relevant Certificates such as Mark sheets for all the three years of Graduation/ Provisional Certificate/Certificate of Graduation as proof of having acquired the minimum educational qualification on or before 01-01-2017 failing which the candidature of such candidate will be cancelled by the Commission.
The candidates who are able to prove by documentary evidence that the result of the educational qualifying examination was declared on or before the cut-off date and he/she has been declared passed will also be considered to have the required educational qualification", says by the Commission.
Candidates must apply online at ssconline.nic.in. Along with the application fee candidates must submit fee of Rs. 100. Fee can be paid through SBI Challan/ SBI Net banking or through credit/ debit cards of any bank. Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes and ExServicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from paying fee, as per rules/ instructions of Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India.

1st Step: Written Test (Paper-1) (Objective Type) (200 Marks)

SSC SI CAPF Paper-1 Exam Pattern 2017
Paper-1 consist 4 parts namely (A)-General Intelligence and Reasoning, (B)-General Knowledge and General Awareness, (C) – Quantitative Aptitude, (D) English Comprehension.
Each part carries 50 questions and 50 marks; duration of the exam is 2 hours.In paper-1 negative marking of 0.25 marks will be made for each incorrect answer but there is no negative marking for unanswered questions.Paper-1 is objective type, set also in Hindi for part A, B & C.Summary:

Eye Sight: The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of two eyes without wearing specs.Candidate must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision.Candidates must be in good mental condition and free from any physical defect.
SSC SI CAPF Paper-2 Exam Pattern 2017
Paper-2 is about English language & Comprehension. Paper-2 carries 200 questions and 200 marks; duration of the exam is 2 hours.In paper-2 negative marking of 0.25 marks will be made for each incorrect answer but there is no negative marking for unanswered questions.Paper-2 will be objective type and question paper will be set in English only.

Questions in this component will be aimed at testing the candidates’ general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of every day observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighbouring countries especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity, Indian Constitution, scientific Research etc.
Part C – Quantitative Aptitude: (50 Questions)
The questions will be designed to test the ability of appropriate use of numbers and number sense of the candidate. English Language & Comprehension: (200 Questions)
Questions in this components will be designed to test the candidate’s understanding and knowledge of English Language and will be based on error recognition, filling in the blanks (using verbs, preposition, articles etc), Vocabulary, Spellings, Grammar, Sentence Structure, Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence Completion, Phrases and Idiomatic use of Words, comprehension etc.

What kind of strategy needs for final selection?
