Fellowship/SLET Exams 2018 Complete Study Notes Available

Most of the candidates join a P.G. course with an intention to start a career as a Professor. It has become an attractive option due to high salary, and social respect. For recruitment as professors in Universities/colleges/institutions a minimum eligibility condition of NET(National Eligibility Test)/SET(State Eligibility Test) Exam Pass has been made compulsory. However, candidates who have been awarded Ph.D. Degree (UGC Regulation 2009) shall be exempt from NET/SET. Generally NET Test will be conducted by the UGC twice in a year i.e. in the month of June & December each year.

Since June 2010 examination, there will not be negative marks for paper I & II. The NET qualified candidates are eligible to apply for the post of lecturer in all Indian universities/Institutes/colleges, but the SET qualified candidates shall be eligible for appointment to the post of lecturer only in the universities/colleges belonging to the state from where they have passed the SET examination.

The candidates who qualify the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) Examination of UGC/CSIR/NET are also eligible for the post of lectureship. In addition they are also eligible to receive Fellowships (UGC/CSIR) under various schemes. The validity of the offer is two years.
